Castle Tour ticket includes access to the science centre and castle gardens. Castle Tours take place Monday to Saturday 9.30 to 12.30 from 7th to 31st May and 8th July to 31st August. Special rates apply during events, such as the Irish Game and County Fair Ball games,tricycles and bicycles are not allowed in the demesne. Our picnic and play area is currently closed while undergoing construction. Please note Birr Castle Demesne will close at 16.30 on the 2nd July.

Dogs are welcome in the gardens at Birr Castle Demesne but must be kept on leads at all times and owners must clean up after their dogs - we provide dog waste bags at reception. We do not allow dogs in the Science exhibition galleries.
