The Bothy is rented on a self catering basis and the rental charge for the year 2010 is euro 490 per week.

The rental period commences and ends on Saturdays.

The Bothy is a garden cottage in its own secluded area within Birr Castle Demesne. A gate in the wall opens on to the famous Millennium gardens (open to the public) set in a large park laid out around a lake and on the banks of two rivers, offering miles and hours of beauty and tranquility. This is a must for nature lovers, gardeners, artists, and all yours to enjoy privately each evening. The Demesne is equally celebrated for its giant telescope, the largest in the world for 75 years and now fully restored. Boating trips on the River Shannon, cycling, fishing and golf are all nearby.

The Bothy comprises an entrance into a living room with dining area, kitchenette, bathroom and 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single. The Bothy is heated by oil central heating and an open fire (all fuel and power, bed linen and towels included in rent) and includes a colour TV, washing machine. Garden furniture allows you to enjoy the lawned gardens and there is parking space for 2 cars. Pets are welcome.
Shops, pub and restaurant are all within 300 meters.
