If you would like to become a Friend, please complete the membership application form and either call into our reception or post the completed form to Birr Castle Demesne, Birr, Co Offaly. Cheques made payable to the Birr Scientific & Heritage Foundation.

Please read and note the following conditions:

• Membership admits only the named adult members on the card; all adults on card must reside in the same household. Membership is limited to five adults per household.
• Purchase of second named adult will include children living in same household under the age of 18. All children of household under 18 must be accompanied for admission by a named adult.
• Membership gains admittance on everyday of normal business, but excludes admittance to any special events laid on.
• Membership runs strictly from Jan 1st to Dec 31st 2012. All memberships will expire on 31st December 2012 no matter when purchased.
• Admission can only be gained with presentation of valid card.
• Ball games, tricycles & bicycles are not allowed in the demesne.
• Owners of dogs will be held responsible for all their actions. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please do not hesitate on your way through the shop if you have a dog as they can sometimes upset other visitors.
• Our Opening Hours are 9am–6pm (Mid-Mar to 31 Oct) and 10am–4pm (1 Nov to Mid-March).
